On July 1, 2001, 6 mowers met at the Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association (MOFGA) fair grounds in Unity, Maine to do a little scything.

Conditions where hot and humid. The grass tall, dry and tough. The company and friendship made the gathering a pleasure.
I would like to thank all the people who attended the Common Ground Fair of 2001 and all those whose energies contributed to the making of it. I was in attendance at Peter Vido's scythe exhibit and thank all those who stopped by and said hello.
