A Scythe Supply scythe in use with Mississippi sandhill crane breeding Program
Scythes are used to control fast-growing grasses and weeds in the endangered crane breeding area. The chicks are raised in isolation from human disturbance. Workers are in custumes when around the chicks so they do not imprint on humans. The scythe plus costume makes for an interesting image.
